A 2011 graduate from the University of Alabama, attending the Winning Ways Women’s’ Pro Combine in this past June. A shining star for sure, Varisia has tremendous upside. She is a versatile player who is effective at the 2,3, and 4 spots. At 5’10”, she uses her size and strength and is able to post up players effectively at all three positions. She is a multidimensional player who has range beyond the arc, a quick release and the ability to get to the basket. A high Basketball IQ is clearly demonstrated by her court judgment, vision, and awareness. Varissia is a committed player as she worked on her game putting herself thru demanding training sessions for five months subsequent to the Combine, then spent two days with our staff for additional training, testing, and evaluation. Her stock improved and consensus by our staff that she is ready for the Professional level. On the court as well as her demeanor and professionalism off the court. For all these reasons, Varissia is our spot light player.
