Winning Ways Pro International Testing Package

This battery of tests is given to each athlete at the beginning and at the conclusion of their training program.  The results listed below are actual results and where noted number expected, indicates the professional player at a comparable position and size.

Footspeed:   defensive slants from foul lane to foul lane in a 30 second time period.

Takes/Makes:  elbow to elbow jump shots, demonstrating quickness of release and accuracy.  Drill is 60sec.

Chair Drill:  a full court drill where player has maximum of 4 dribble from foul line to basket, laying the ball up and exploding back to 1 of 4 perimeter spots for outside shots.  Must continue drill until all 4 shots are made.

Foul Shooting:  3 sets of 5 free throws, where by each set is under additional conditions of fatigue.

*There are no breaks during this testing.

Physical & Mental: Excellent physical condition.  Very mentally tough and never takes a play off.
Ball SkillsVery good ball handler in the open flor and in traffic.  Doesn't turn the ball over in pressure and double team situations.
Offense: Runs the floor well.  Good finisher in transition.  Consistent range out to 23ft.  Above average pull up jumpshot.  Excellent player under conditions of fatigue.  Court vision and court judgement a real plus.
Rebounding: Above average rebounder for his position.
Defense:  Great ball pressure defense.  Excellent close out defense.  Works his way through screens and plays great defense away from the ball.
Game Knowledge: Very high basketball IQ.  Adapts well to the pro rules and regulations.  Knows how to make his team better.
Strengths:  Floor general/leader.  Shooting range and mechanics.  Basketball IQ.  Conditioning.  Player under conditions of fatigue.  On the ball defense and defense away from the ball.  Transition offense.
Opportunities for Improvement: Work on shot creation.  Consistency at the free throw line.  
Overall Comments: Garry works very well with his teammates.  He can lead his team by creating shots for his teammates, or become a scorer when needed.  He is very coachable and is always looking to get better.  Garry can play at the professional level right now.
