    barry Darryl Dawkins
Director of Community Relations; New Jersey Nets

Darryl Dawkins began is NBA career in 1975, when the Philadelphia 76ers made him the 5th pick in the NBA draft.  Dawkins became one of the first players to make the direct jump from high school to the NBA.  In his 14-year NBA career, in addition to the 76ers, Dawkins played with the New Jersey Nets, Utah Jazz, and the Detroit Pistons

Following a terrifically entertaining playing career, that included his two signature backboard breaking dunks, Dawkins began coaching professionally around North America.  Darryl now is the Director of Community Relations for the New Jersey Nets, and is a mainstay in the Tri-State area community and the Central Florida community as well, working on many projects with today’s youth.  Dawkins, known for his creative naming of dunks, is looking forward to being part of the Winning Ways Pro International Team and helping young players from around the globe.
