Winning Ways Pro International Testing Package

This battery of tests is given to each athlete at the beginning and at the conclusion of their training program.  The results listed below are actual results and where noted number expected, indicates the professional player at a comparable position and size.

Footspeed:   defensive slants from foul lane to foul lane in a 30 second time period.

Takes/Makes:  elbow to elbow jump shots, demonstrating quickness of release and accuracy.  Drill is 60sec.

Chair Drill:  a full court drill where player has maximum of 4 dribble from foul line to basket, laying the ball up and exploding back to 1 of 4 perimeter spots for outside shots.  Must continue drill until all 4 shots are made.

Foul Shooting:  3 sets of 5 free throws, where by each set is under additional conditions of fatigue.

*There are no breaks during this testing.

Physical & Mental:  Good condition, mentally and physically tough.  Upper body strength a plus.
Ball SkillsAbove average ball skills.  Handles defensive pressure very well.  Handles the ball well with his back to the basket.  Must continue to improve his ball handling along the perimeter.
Offense:  Good mid-range shooter, maintains good body control, and is very effective taking the ball to the basket. Can score at will, quick release on shot, variety of post moves that effetely gets him to the basket.  Ability to finish strong around the rim.  Plays above the rim.  Ability to create his own shot.  Good court judgment.
Rebounding:   Uses his body and size exceptionally well, which results in effective rebounding on both end of the court.  Terrific anticipation and positioning.
Defense:   Good help side defense.  Denies the ball into the post very effectively.  Good defensive post footwork.  Footspeed allows him to keep quicker players in front of him in the open floor.
Game Knowledge:  Very knowledgeable on both ends of the court.  Able to identify his strengths and weaknesses; knows his limitations and plays off of his strengths.
Strengths:   Explosiveness, Rebounding, Midrange Jumper, Game Knowledge, Offensive Post moves, Footspeed, Quickness of Release, Finising Around the Basket.
Opportunities for Improvement:   Needs to work on taking away the cutter's lane.  Must improve is shooting range and develop a consistent 3 point shot.
Overall Comments:   Chris interacts well with teammates, coaches and officials.  He is always looking for ways to improve his overall game.  He is a big time player that plays above the rim.  Very passionate about playing on the pro level.  Ready to play at the pro level right now.
