Excellent physical condition. Very mentally tough. Does not show any emotion on the floor at any time.
- Ball Skills:
Able to handle the ball with either hand. Very good in pressure situation and closely guarded situations. Good court vision and gets his passes where they need to be.

Very solid pg that can run his team’s offense. He has three point shooting ability but does not look for the shot unless wide open. Can take the ball to the basket but he must work on ability to finish. Good mid range jumper.

Average rebounder for his height and position.
- Defense:
Excellent on the ball defender. Uses his quickness to keep his man in front of him and deflects the ball a lot. Must work on staying with his man away from the ball. Needs to do a better job of fighting through screens.

Very solid understanding of the game. Really learned the international rules and style of play quickly.

Very fundamentally sound. Never forces anything. Very high assist to turnover ratio. Floor leader by his actions.

Ability to take the ball to the basket and finish in the lane. Defense away from the ball. Look to shoot more and be more aggressive on the offensive side of the floor.
- Overall Comments:
Atsushi is a very fundamentally sound player. He rarely makes mistakes on the floor and doesn’t commit turnovers. He is very coachable and interacts very well with his teammates. Being from Japan, Atsushi could definitely play in a league over there or even a lower level league in the states.
